September Glossy Box Canada!

Much to my surprise, when I got home today my  GlossyBox was waiting for me! The boxes usually arrive at the very end of the month or the beginning of the next month, so this was a very welcome surprise!

My box is an E V1. Here's a peek of what was inside!

Inside were the following items:
  1.  A 40mL sample of Wella Professionals Mirror Polish Shine Spray - $12.99
  2. A 4mL sample of B. Kamins SPF20 Bio-Maple Lip Balm - $5.38
  3. A 12mL sample of B. Kamins Bio-Maple Body Lotion - $2.73
  4. A 17g sample of Dove ClearTone Anti-Perpirent - $1.51
  5. NYX Cosmetics: The Crimson Amulet Collection Make-Up Palette- $25
Total Value of Products:  $47.61
(The price values reflect the product sizes that I received in my GlossyBox.)

The Make-Up Palette was inspired by the movie Dark Shadows. Here's a peek of what's inside! It includes the following:

24 Eye Shadows, Black Liquid Eye Liner, Liquid Eye Shadow Base, 5 Blushers, Illuminator, 4 Lip Gloss & a Mirror

I'm probably the most excited about the Make-Up Palette and the Hair Product. I think it's good that GlossyBox put some Canadian products in the box this month! The B. Kamins products don't seem to have a great scent or anything, but due to their price, I'm looking forward to sampling them! The Dove product isn't anything special for me, but it's a nice size to throw in my camping bag!

This month's box is worth quite a bit. There was a good variety of products, and it arrived before September was over! All in all, I'm pretty pleased! If you're interested in purchasing B. Kamins products, use the code GLOSBX to get 25% off your order!
If you want to try GlossyBox, use the code GLOSSY50 to save $1.50 on your first box!

September Julep Polish Lovers Mystery Box!

I came home to my September Julep Mystery Box today! I love Julep mail days! When Julep was promoting this month's mystery boxes, they had two options: polish lovers or product lovers - I chose product lovers! I am such a huge fan! Their daily defense cream is my daily face moisturizer! (I was really hoping for another!) I've also heard great reviews about their newer make-up products and was hoping to try some out! When I picked up my box, I didn't think it was going to be anything amazing. It was very light, for products. This is what I received:

    Inside my box was:
    Julep Tote: ?
    Total Value: $72+

All in all I'm pretty please with my box. I got a good value for my $20. I've been wanting to try out the cuticle oil, so that's probably what I'm most excited about! I also have been wanting the glass nail file, as I've heard great things about it! Yay! And I'm excited to try out the hand cream too, since I already have the scrub & my hands will definitely need the extra TLC when winter comes! The only things I'm not overly excited about are the tote & the fast dry top coast, as I already have both. However, both are good products to get doubles of, I just LOVE trying out new things!

    August GlossyBox Canada

After my box last month, my expectations for GlossyBox were pretty high. This is only my second monthly third GlossyBox. I wasn't overly excited about this month's box, but it wasn't a disappointment either.

I received my box yesterday. This month, there were few full size products and few Brand names that I actually care about. Below is a photo of my V7 box.

Again the box was beautifully presented, though not as full as last month's. In my box there was the following:
    1.  A 50mL sample of Sebastian Potion 9 Lite - $6.98
    2. A 10 count pack of Bioré Make-up Removing Towelettes - $3.99
    3. A Krylolan for GlossyBox LipStick in Glossy Pink - (love the colour!)- Unknown Cost
    4. Layla Smalto "Bijou" Nail Polish - (can't believing how small this is for the price!) - $11.99
    5. Befine Fine Food Skin Care Products - $2.90
          1. 0.5 oz. Warming Clay Mask - $0.40
          2. 10mL Pore Refining Treatment Scrub - $0.67
          3. 10mLNight Cream - $0.50
          4. 10mL Gentle Cleanser - $0.33
          5. 10mL Exfoliating Cleanser - $1.00
    6. Elasoplast SOS Blister Travel Pack - (1 bandage and a shoe size wheel?) - $1.20
    7. Trend Trunk Mystery Gift Card - $5-$250
Total Known Value of Products:  $27.06
(The price values reflect the product sizes that I received in my GlossyBox.)

The box is obviously worth more than stated above, but honestly I probably won't be using my Mystery Card unless I get a high amount or there is a reasonable shipping fee. All in all, I'm not thrilled with this box and the value isn't wonderful. The most expensive item is the teeny tiny nail polish. Oh well, better luck next month? If you're interested in buying Befine products, go to www.befine.com and use code CAN812 to get 20% off your order! I just redeemed my Trend Trunk Card and got a value of $5...I won't be using it.
If you want to try GlossyBox, use the code GLOSSY50 to save $1.50 on your first box!

My First Loose Button LuxeBox - Fall 2012

This month, I decided to skip my Julep subscription to try out the new Loose Button LuxeBox! I had been on the waiting list for a bit and was just accepted as the company was switching their format. This subscription is no longer monthly, it is now quarterly. The prices are as follows:

      • Quarterly (pay as-you-go) membership plan: $26 every 3 months and a total of 1 Luxe Box per plan cycle.
      • Semi-annual membership plan: $50 every 6 months, which equals to $25 per season and a total of 2 Luxe Boxes per plan cycle.
      • Annual membership plan: $96 every 12 months, which equals to $24 per season and a total of 4 Luxe Boxes per plan cycle.

You choose the plan that suits you best. I chose the quarterly to test it out and will make a decision from there. Below is a photo of what I received in my Fall LuxeBox.

      1. A 7ml sample of Philosophy Hope in a Jar
      2. A 2.07mL exclusive sample of Lacnôme Défincils in Black
      3. A 4mL product launch sample of Vera Wang Lovestruck
      4. 3.6g exclusive sample of Lancôme Eyeshadow Quad in Pink Pearls (Matte), Designer (Metallic), Exhibition (Sheen) & Lava (Shimmer)
      5. A FULL SIZE exclusive Loose Button Exfoliating Pad
      6. A FULL SIZE Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in Misbehaved
      7. A 5mL rare, exclusive sample of Kérastase Elixir Ultime
The box is really nice quality. It is small enough to fit in my mail box, but large enough to hold all of these great treasures! It also came with a square of scarf-like fabric, which I'll be finding a use for! Though some of the samples are small, most are higher-end products, which I think is awesome! I am very excited about everything in this box! There is nothing that I won't try! I do wish some of the samples were a bit larger, but oh well! The eyeshadow colours don't show up the best in this photo, but they are totally wearable and gorgeous! in addition to the box itself, I have also been getting e-mail with promotions for LuxeBox subscribers, it really is the box that keeps on giving! I'm very excited about this subscription service and can't wait to see what's in my next LuxeBox!
